Community-rooted Health, Career, and Belonging

Diversity in Health’s mission is to advance opportunity, dignity, and belonging for culturally diverse immigrant, refugee, and low-income community members living in the San Francisco Bay Area through healthcare career pathways training, community-based education, behavioral health services, wellness support, and the strengthening of equitable systems.

Since 2011, through our healthcare career pathways workforce development programs, Diversity in Health has worked with immigrant, refugee, and BIPOC community members hailing from over 70 countries and speaking over 50 languages. Since 2019, DTHI has also been a dedicated provider of prevention and early intervention mental health services for Alameda County’s Middle Eastern and North African (MENA) communities (primarily Arabic, Farsi, and Dari speakers).

Diversity in Health works with immigrants, refugees, asylees, and BIPOC populations from all over the world, including from Africa, Asia (East, Southeast, Central, and South), Latin America, the Pacific Islands, and the Middle East.
